Have you ever asked someone, "Can I have a Band-Aid?" I'm sure you have. But you see, when you say that, you mean to say, "May I have a bandage?" You see, bandage is commonly replace with Band-Aid. Band-Aid is only a company that makes bandages. So, next time, use the correct word.
