Selectively Permeable Laser Field

What if someone invented a selectively permeable laser two-dimensional field? You are probably wondering what this "field" would, or can, do. Since it is "selectively permeable" it means that only certain things can pass through it, so certain, or selected, things are held back. This separating device can have multiple uses. Let us say that someone has a sever case of some viral disease. The removal process would be comparatively simple than what it is today. In the keyboard/computer pad that is equipped with the laser field, you would type in the disease, which from now on will be referred to as 'Disease.' Then, these weird glowy things will start to buzz and move around the flat, red surface (the laser field). Then, the person would step through it, and the field would hold back Disease. So, the person would be cured from Disease!

You could also tell the keyboard/computer what to let pass through it. Let us say, for some odd reason, you required zinc in its purest form. But, let us say, you only had brass. Then, since brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, you could throw some brass into the Selectively Permeable Laser Field after you programed it to let only zinc pass through. Congratulations! Now you have pure zinc!

Plus, you could modify the Selectively Permeable Laser Field to make it into a electric recharging field! Once electric cars are released, then instead of stopping at electricity stations, than you could just speed through this [modified] Selectively Permeable Laser Field. The field will have electrons buzzing around in it. Once the car goes through it, the electrons rub off onto the car and the car becomes energized! "Electricity-efficient" and "time-efficient!"
